Job Description
Maintaining awareness of developments in the field of architecture to ensure that up-to-date and accurate advice is provided to clients; monitoring and auditing work carried out by contractors to ensure it meets required standards; and performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Produce designs for buildings and other construction projects in accordance with approved briefs or specifications.
Discuss design requirements with clients and other stakeholders to determine detailed project specifications, including construction type, cost limitations, land scraping, and planning requirements.
Conduct thorough site surveys to determine site characteristics and assess potential challenges.
Advise clients on proposed construction details, including impact on the surrounding area, and keep them informed of project progress.
Prepare detailed drawings and design specifications for KCCA projects and submit them for approval by the relevant authority.
Negotiate and oversee contracts with builders to ensure work is completed to appropriate standards and within agreed timelines and costs.
Maintain awareness of developments in the field of architecture to provide up-to-date and accurate advice to clients.
Monitor and audit contractor work to ensure compliance with required standards.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
