How to Apply
Implement the strategic initiatives attributed to IT Security, which will protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction.
Maintain the established intrusion detection mechanisms and assess system patterns to detect unusual patterns of behaviour, quickly determine the cause, and deal with any threat.
Analyse reports generated by the monitoring system to identify trends that might indicate a future risk.
Detect and ensure resolution of the security breaches by performing vulnerability/port scanning to determine vulnerabilities.
Ensure remediation of the gaps in the bank’s security measures, such as firewalls, anti-virus, and patch management, to identify any weak points that might make information systems vulnerable to attack by supporting with PEN tests.
Participate in the system availability by ensuring disaster preparedness, development, and preparation of the conducting preparedness tests (BCM)
Performing configuration assessment to ensure system setup and configurations are implemented with a high level of security as per standard.
Utilize and improve system security products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems security continuous improvements.
Address security incidents and problems through final resolution for the bank’s server/endpoint OS, virtual environments, databases, middleware, and Applications.
Implement policies, procedures, processes, standards, and guidelines for systems security administration and appropriate use.
