The successful candidate will oversee the implementation and enforcement of the bank’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring robust protection of information systems, data, and infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.

How to Apply
Assist the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in designing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity governance framework.
Enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage key cybersecurity tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Protection, and DLP.
Coordinate internal security assessments, red/blue team simulations, and awareness training programs.
Monitor IT infrastructure for cybersecurity events and incidents, ensuring timely detection and response.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of users, devices, applications, and licenses.
Identify, assess, and mitigate internal and third-party cyber risks and vulnerabilities.
Engage with vendors, regulators, and industry peers to stay informed about new threats, technologies, and best practices.
Lead and conduct security awareness sessions and workshops across the organization.
Support the implementation and management of security technologies to protect critical data, applications, and infrastructure.
Develop and maintain a detailed incident response plan.
Perform periodic vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and recommend remediation actions.
Oversee regular backups of critical systems and test Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
Ensure continuous protection of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the bank’s information.
Mentor and lead a team of cybersecurity analysts.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CNSS, or CIPP/E are strongly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT or banking, including at least 2 years in ICT security within a financial institution.
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools: SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and secure software development practices.
Strong understanding of digital banking services, fintech trends, and banking operations.
Experience with cloud security, encryption, identity and access management.
Knowledge of project management principles is an added advantage.
