Job Description
The selected trainee will work closely with senior auditors and audit teams, learning audit methodology, documentation standards, and internal control evaluation techniques. Responsibilities include supporting audit planning, conducting fieldwork, participating in process reviews, preparing audit reports, and contributing to risk-mitigation recommendations. The program offers mentorship, exposure to diverse business operations, and the opportunity to build a strong auditing career path within the organization upon successful completion.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments
Support internal control assessments across departments
Participate in data collection, analysis, and testing procedures
Prepare working papers and audit documentation
Draft audit observations and reports under supervision
Assist in monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures
Contribute to risk assessment and process improvement initiatives
Maintain confidentiality and professional audit standards
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum Second Class Upper Division
Grade B Plain minimum in KCSE
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong report-writing abilities
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience
0–1 year of work experience (fresh graduates encouraged)
