Senior Officer, Executive Office job at Plan International

Job Description
The Senior Officer, Executive Office will play a critical role in supporting the CEO’s leadership by ensuring strategic alignment, timely intelligence, strong follow-up systems, and effective communication. The role involves preparing briefings, synthesizing complex information, coordinating meetings and agendas, managing executive interfaces, tracking organizational priorities, and ensuring delivery of commitments. The position will work closely with the Chief of Staff and internal teams, manage sensitive stakeholder engagements, travel regularly with the CEO, and ensure the office operates with excellence, discretion, and efficiency in a fast-paced, global humanitarian and development context.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide high-level coordination support to the CEO and Executive Office
Prepare strategic briefings, reports, talking points, and executive documents
Track priorities, actions, and decisions to ensure follow-through and timely delivery
Support executive stakeholder management and engagement across global offices
Coordinate and support internal and external meetings, travel, and events
Gather intelligence and monitor emerging issues affecting the organization
Support strategic planning, analysis, and executive communications
Work closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure seamless CEO operations
Maintain confidentiality and exercise strong judgment in sensitive matters
Travel regularly with the CEO to global meetings and engagements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Public Administration, Management or related field
Advanced degree is an added advantage
Experience
Proven experience supporting executive leadership in global, political, humanitarian, or development environments
Experience in strategic coordination, executive briefing, stakeholder engagement, and high-level communication
Strong understanding of international development and humanitarian context
Skills & Competencies
Excellent writing, communication, and research skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High level of discretion, diplomacy, and professional judgment
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in fast-paced settings
Ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders
Willingness to travel frequently
