Reporting To: Team Leader, Systems Infrastructure
Supervises: None

Job Purpose:
To implement new systems and upgrade existing infrastructure to support the Bank’s IT operations. This role involves planning, designing, and executing infrastructure projects ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and implement new IT infrastructure projects to meet the Bank’s operational needs.

  • Upgrade and enhance existing infrastructure to improve performance, security, and reliability.

  • Manage infrastructure projects ensuring they are completed within set timelines, budget, quality, and scope.

  • Implement and maintain security measures for infrastructure projects ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure designs, changes, and project plans.

  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective support and project delivery.

  • Ensure infrastructure projects comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.

  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader Systems Infrastructure from time to time.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications:

  • A First or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or Engineering.

  • Professional certifications in network management such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, IT Service Management (ITIL), Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), Microsoft Certified: Azure Cloud Associate, MCITP, MCTS, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Work Experience:

  • At least five years of relevant experience in infrastructure development and project management.

Age:

  • Between 30 and 38 years at the close of the advert.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure design, implementation, and management.

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles and best practices.

  • Experience in project management and change management methodologies.

  • Ability to manage and configure infrastructure devices and systems.
