Implementation Manager

Job Summary
The Implementation Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth deployment and ongoing support of Transactional Services solutions—including channel and product support. This role enables efficient client onboarding, ensures system reliability, and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Customer Service Management
Provide specialized support to internal teams and users.
Promote the Absa brand and strengthen customer relationships.
Prepare internal communications regarding policies, procedures, and controls.
Coordinate relationship management for Transactional Services clients.
Analyze customer and competitor service trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Resolve technical customer queries efficiently and within agreed service levels.
Supervise system and product management functions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including risk assessments and service reviews.
2. Business Management
Meet defined product performance targets across value, volume, income, and cost metrics.
Generate management information reports on customer support and service performance.
Conduct regular service reviews and performance analyses.
Research and monitor competitor product and service offerings.
Support the implementation of new products, processes, or changes.
Manage product tariff structures and ensure optimal collection efficiency.
Collaborate with corporate and business banking teams to enhance product and service performance.
Monitor and address customer complaints, ensuring high-quality resolution.
Participate in continuous product and process improvement initiatives.
Strive to minimize or eliminate customer complaints through proactive management.
3. Product Development and Sales
Support the development of customized client solutions and value propositions.
Contribute to product pricing strategies and delivery channel optimization.
Monitor competitor and industry trends to inform business strategy.
Conduct research and analysis on customer and competitor behavior.
Engage in cross-selling and upselling opportunities to drive business growth.
4. Risk, Governance, and Control
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards, the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and Absa’s internal policies.
Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and product-related risks and incidents.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computing, Business Management, Sales, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a financial institution.
Knowledge and Skills
Proven experience in product or service management, preferably within electronic or internet banking.
Strong understanding of banking operations, transactional services, and customer needs.
Sound technical knowledge of IT systems and internet banking platforms.
Insight into market trends, customer behavior, and industry best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
Self-driven, innovative, and results-oriented with strong presentation skills.
