Reports to: HR and Administration Manager
Role Summary
Yako Bank (U) Limited is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Officer to provide comprehensive HR support across multiple functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in recruitment, staff records management, performance management, learning and development, payroll support, HR data analytics, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.

How to Apply
Support the recruitment and selection process, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
Maintain accurate staff records (digital and physical) while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Generate and analyze HR data reports to support management decisions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports and dashboards.
Assist with payroll preparation by validating attendance, leave, and overtime data in coordination with Accounts.
Coordinate performance management processes — goal setting, tracking, and documentation.
Support learning and development initiatives, including tracking training participation and development plans.
Facilitate employee engagement and welfare activities to strengthen workplace culture.
Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate data management.
Conduct HR compliance checks and ensure adherence to labor laws and internal policies.
Provide administrative support for HR and office operations.
Prepare HR analytics reports on turnover, recruitment, training ROI, and performance trends.
Support disciplinary and grievance management processes through documentation and reporting.
Contribute to policy reviews, benchmarking, and process improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–2 years of relevant HR experience (preferably in a banking or financial institution).
Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Dashboards, Data Analysis) and HR analytics tools.
Sound knowledge of Uganda Labor Laws and HR best practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
