Job Purpose:
The HR Officer supports the Human Resource function by ensuring smooth implementation of HR policies, procedures, and practices. The role involves assisting with recruitment, employee relations, payroll processing, HR administration, and compliance to maintain a productive and positive workplace.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist in posting job adverts, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
Support in conducting interviews and reference checks as required.
Prepare offer letters, contracts, and new hire documentation.
Facilitate onboarding/orientation programs for new employees.
Employee Relations & Welfare:
Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Support in handling employee grievances and disciplinary matters in line with company policies.
Coordinate staff welfare activities (team-building, staff engagement initiatives).
HR Administration:
Maintain and update employee records (hard copy and HRIS).
Prepare HR-related reports such as leave balances, turnover rates, and headcount updates.
Ensure confidentiality and security of employee information.
Performance Management:
Support the implementation of performance appraisal processes.
Track performance reviews and follow up with supervisors and staff. – Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating staff development programs.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
Prepare and submit monthly payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, deductions).
Assist in managing employee benefits such as medical insurance, leave entitlements, and statutory deductions.
Track and process leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policy.
Compliance & Policy Implementation:
Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and organizational policies.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating HR policies and procedures.
Support audits and inspections by providing necessary HR documentation.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, CHRP) is an added advantage.
2–3 years’ experience in HR or related administrative roles.
Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
