Job Description
To drive the achievement of business and overall bank’s objectives through the implementation of Human resource strategies, policies and practices. In partnership with the Heads of Departments, Divisional Manages and line supervisors, HRBP provides consultancy services to enable delivery of best practices and HR focused solutions to BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd. This position serves as a liaison between the business lines and HR to ensure fulfilment of human resources needs such as recruitment, performance management, compensation, career development, Talent Management, Grievance Handling among others.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Manpower Planning: Analysis of resource gaps, maintaining of required head count, Recruitment, Induction, career and succession planning, Probationary, Leave and exit management.
- Organisational Design and Change Management: Monitor the appropriate use of various types of employee contracts and staff resources, of change initiatives, drive and deliver HR initiatives to support business, work in partnership with operational management teams to identify areas and opportunities for improvement.
- Learning and development management: Training needs assessments, career conversations, Talent management.
- Performance Management: instill performance culture, coordinate performance appraisals, manage feedback process, PIP management.
- Employee Relations: Interpret policies and procedures, attend to employee grievances and complaints, ensure workplace harmony).
- Read, understand, practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
- Support other roles within HR as need be including operational issues e.g. payroll
