Job Description
Job Title: Human Resource and Administration Officer
Organisation: Be Energy Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and programs to ensure effective management of human resources.
Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring timely and cost-effective hiring of suitable candidates. Manage the onboarding process for new staff and equally manage the exit process for staff leaving the organization.
Responsible for developing and execution of employee motivation strategies in order to improve productivity and performance.
Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to drive high performance and conduct reviews
Manage the training program for employees by identifying training needs and developing training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Provide administrative support and ensure overall well-being of the employees
Manage employee relations, receive employee complaints, mediate conflicts and handle disciplinary procedures.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations and all company policies.
Administer employee benefits and related programs.
Employee engagement: Implement strategies to foster positive work environment and improve employee engagement and retention.
Serve as a bridge between employees and management facilitating effective communication.
Any other assignment as may be directed by the line manager
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A strong University Degree (minimum Bachelor) in the areas of Human Resource Management or other relevant discipline.
Details of experience
At least 3 years post qualification experience gained in Human resource management
Knowledge, skills and competences
Ability to develop HR strategies and align them with the business objectives.
An in-depth knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws.
Strong leadership skills to manage HR staff and guide the organization
Effective presentation and reporting skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent active listening, negotiation and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
