Job Title: Human Resource and Admin Officer

Location: Kampala (with occasional field travel upcountry)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: HR Manager (or designated representative)
Job Summary
Q-Sourcing Limited, acting on behalf of its client in Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety (ESHS) Management Services, is seeking a qualified and experienced Human Resource and Admin Officer to join their team in Kampala. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting HR operations, office administration, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.

How to Apply
Human Resources Duties
Contribute to the development and periodic review of HR policies, departmental strategies, and annual budgets.
Effectively communicate HR policies to all staff through training sessions and internal communications.
Stay updated on changes in labor laws and employment legislation, advising management on necessary policy adjustments.
Administer and process monthly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
Support the recruitment process: advertise roles, screen applications, organize interviews, and draft employment contracts.
Coordinate onboarding and induction for new employees, including background checks and orientation sessions.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the performance management process.
Administrative Duties
Maintain project accounts by receiving, reviewing, and reconciling field accountabilities.
Organize and manage office communications and schedule appointments.
Prepare regular administrative and HR-related reports.
Develop and maintain organized filing systems (physical and electronic) in compliance with data protection guidelines.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide administrative support for meetings and events—this includes setting dates, organizing venues, issuing agendas, taking minutes, and coordinating catering.
Handle general office administration including drafting correspondence, ordering supplies, photocopying, and transcription.
Offer PA and secretarial support to the Director and senior management team as required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or Management with Accounting (or a related field) from a recognized institution.
A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline is an added advantage.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar HR/Admin role.
No criminal record.
Willingness to travel and work in upcountry locations when required.

High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
