Job Description
The successful candidate will lead Msufini’s finance and accounting team, managing budgeting, forecasting, and compliance processes while ensuring accurate financial statements and reports. They will be responsible for financial modeling, risk management, and investment planning to support the company’s strategic goals. The Financial Controller will also provide leadership in structuring and managing funds, M&A activities, capital structuring, and corporate governance related to financial management. This is a senior leadership role requiring proven experience in high-level financial management and investment decision-making.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all accounting and financial operations.
Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and sustainability.
Manage investment planning, fund management, and corporate finance initiatives.
Oversee risk management processes and internal controls.
Prepare and review financial models to support business decisions.
Lead mergers, acquisitions, and capital structuring activities.
Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting, Finance, or related field).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with active registration status.
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Finance, Strategy, or related field.
Experience
At least 10 years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO, Finance Director, or Investment Manager).
Strong background in investment banking, corporate finance, or fund management.
Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry highly preferred.
Proven experience structuring and managing investment funds.
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in financial modeling, capital structuring, and mergers & acquisitions.
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
Strategic thinker with excellent decision-making skills.
Leadership, team management, and mentoring ability.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
