Key Result Areas (KRAs) / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes

• Analyze and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Banking & Accounts – Receivables Control

• Monitor daily cash and bank balances

• Authorize all bank payments

• Follow up on premium collections and submit payment details to insurers

• Calculate and send commission reports immediately upon receipt of premiums

• Invoice insurers promptly upon commission confirmation

• Track and recover outstanding commissions efficiently

Financial Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements compliant with IFRS

• Submit statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, NSSF) on time

• Maintain accurate monthly returns records

• Collaborate with claims & underwriting teams to file quarterly IRA reports

• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage tax compliance

Cash Flow Management

• Prepare monthly payment plans, creditors’ reports, and cash flow statements

• Reconcile client premium statements with insurer records

• Manage banking relationships and financial institution obligations

• Handle foreign exchange exposures and mitigate financial risks

Customer Care & Servicing

• Maintain regular communication with suppliers, clients, and insurers

• Conduct periodic visits to insurers and clients

• Stay updated on IFRS changes and developments

• Promote a positive and supportive environment within the finance team

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting staff

• Support staff development through training and coaching

• Encourage a culture of responsibility, performance, and continuous improvement
