About the Role

Smart Applications International Limited is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial transaction processing, maintaining financial records, and supporting compliance and reconciliation activities in line with company policies and regulatory standards.

How to Apply

  • Review, post, and process payment requests, ensuring all vouchers and supporting documents are properly stamped.

  • Enter journal entries in the Finance ERP system.

  • Organize and file all financial documents for easy retrieval.

  • Prepare and review payment vouchers, attaching relevant journals.

  • Prepare and submit timely bank reconciliation statements, ensuring no outstanding reconciling items.

  • Reconcile staff debtor accounts and follow up on debts exceeding 45 days.

  • Reconcile all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts.

  • Prepare and submit online VAT schedules for payments.

  • Process payroll deductions and submit reports to the revenue authority.

  • Manage petty cash requests, disbursements, and account reconciliations.

  • Monitor and analyze costs, payments, and expenditures.

  • Handle monthly withholding tax payments and reconciliation.

  • Support asset management by verifying assets, updating registers, and posting depreciation.

  • Assist in processing Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and quotations.

  • Perform reconciliations involving related parties.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • At least CPA Level II or ACCA Level 2

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in finance/accounting in a busy environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Sage ERP is an advantage

  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and diverse teams

  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
