Job Description
Reports to: Executive Director
UBF is seeking a results-oriented, strategic, and experienced Finance and Administration Manager to lead its financial and administrative functions. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership in financial management, administration, human resources, procurement, and compliance, ensuring that UBF operates efficiently and transparently in line with international financial reporting standards and national laws.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and policy development.
Oversee implementation of robust financial management and internal control systems.
Ensure compliance with UBF policies, donor requirements, and statutory obligations.
Approve expenditures, authorize payments, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Lead preparation of financial statements and coordinate internal and external audits.
Provide technical advice to the Executive Director and management on financial strategy, risk management, and optimal resource utilization.
Oversee grants and contract management, ensuring accountability to donors and partners.
Manage administration, procurement, fleet, and security functions in line with UBF standards.
Lead and supervise the Finance and Administration team, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
Represent UBF on board committees and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
Support fundraising and resource mobilization initiatives for sustainable biodiversity financing.
