Job Description
The role involves examining IT systems, assessing compliance with cybersecurity regulations, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions to strengthen resilience in financial institutions. The examiner will also monitor incident responses, support policy development, and train stakeholders to enhance compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct onsite/offsite IT and cybersecurity examinations.
Review governance, risk management, and business continuity plans.
Assess compliance with BoU guidelines, Basel III, and ISO/NIST standards.
Oversee incident response monitoring and recommend improvements.
Prepare detailed audit and examination reports.
Advise on policy updates and regulatory frameworks.
Mentor and train team members on IT risk management.
Collaborate with regulators, SFIs, and cybersecurity experts.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering (First/Second Class Upper).
At least one certification: CISA, CISSP, OSCP, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or CompTIA Security+.
Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, or risk management.
Age: 30–37 years.
Skills: strong analytical skills, report writing, IT governance knowledge, stakeholder engagement, integrity, teamwork.
