Job Description
The EEG Technologist at CoRSU Hospital functions as a resource person to perform technological duties associated with electroencephalographical (EEG) scans. The role involves providing doctors with critical information regarding neurological and nervous system activity to aid in patient care.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare EEG test reagents requests to the booked patients prior to the workday, so that tests are run as planned on the agreed days.
- Provide EEG services as agreed with employer to the patients successfully carrying out EEG tests.
- Provide reports as requested by CoRSU surgeons at the EEG Clinic and/or the line management through the Head of Pharmacy and Diagnostics or Medical Diagnostics team supervisor.
- In case of any delay or failure to report about the designated work, the Service Provider must duly inform the Client within an hour of the delayed surgeries even if it is an emergency.
- On the other hand, the Client shall notify the Service provider in writing within an hour to the delayed provision of the required tools or manpower support to perform work or deferment or failure to provide tools as anticipated, their absence and/or in case of any emergency.
- Regarding III (c) & (d) above, both Parties shall agree with the immediate supervisor on the EEG Technology Consultancy reports; to advise on the medical care plan.
- The consultant should ensure ethics and protection of children with disabilities during the process of work.
- The EEG Consultant should also specify other ethical protocols to be followed during their EEG procedures
- The consultant is expected to take consent of the respondents before taking any information or performing any tests. Such consent must be documented, and a clear record should be kept.
- To participate in inventory management to help in preparing for departmental needs.
- Continuously assess risks inherent in the department.
- Develop mitigation measures to curb the risk inherent in the department.
- Evaluating the patient's medical history, the potential benefits of the procedure, and the associated risks
- Review the effectiveness of the mitigation measures on a continuous basis together with the Medical Director
- Adhering to high ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality is paramount. Adherence to all CoRSU Policies and Procedures. Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information
