Job Description
As an Ecosystem Lead Generator, you will play a key role in growing Absa’s retail customer base through targeted sales efforts and lead generation within the ecosystem customer segment. You will support customers through the account opening and loan application processes, ensure documentation accuracy, and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction. The position also requires adherence to operational and compliance standards, collaboration with internal teams, and continuous professional development. You will act as a liaison between the customer and the bank, helping to meet their financial needs while supporting the bank's growth goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Sales to Ecosystem Customers (60%)
Drive retail product sales and meet set targets
Identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate products
Support product campaigns and educate customers
Open accounts and process applications accurately
Conduct financial analysis for loan approvals
Refer complex cases to specialists and provide customer updates
Customer Service (15%)
Resolve account opening, card, and loan-related queries
Escalate unresolved complaints to line management
Build strong internal networks for service delivery
Notify customers about loan approvals
Operational Rigour, Compliance & Controls (15%)
Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and operational procedures
Maintain accuracy in document submissions
Uphold high standards during internal audits
Adhere to health, safety, and security policies
Team and Personal Development (10%)
Share knowledge and provide peer support
Provide backup support and deputize Line Manager when needed
Set and track personal performance objectives
Engage in training and personal development programs
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Experience:
Sales or customer service experience in the financial sector is an advantage
Understanding of banking products and services
Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Target-driven with proven sales capabilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of KYC and AML compliance
Team player with a willingness to learn and grow
