Job Description
This role involves designing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive business growth within the logistics and freight forwarding space. The successful candidate will identify market opportunities, develop client-centric solutions, and manage high-level customer engagements. They will also be responsible for managing a sales team, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and reporting performance metrics. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong asset, allowing for effective engagement with Chinese-speaking clients.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement commercial sales strategies in alignment with company goals
Identify and target new market segments and client opportunities
Create customized logistics solutions based on client needs and CFS capabilities
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity
Lead presentations, negotiations, and closure of high-value contracts
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
Mentor and lead a performance-driven sales team
Prepare timely and detailed sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and forums
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field
Experience:
At least 5–7 years of business development or sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or CFS
Proven success in achieving revenue and market expansion goals
Competencies:
Strong understanding of commercial sales and client relationship management
Fluent in English with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is highly preferred
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent analytical and communication skills
