Job Title: Disability Inclusion Officer

Position Summary
WITU is seeking a dedicated Disability Inclusion Officer to join its team. This role will focus on ensuring that young women and girls with disabilities are meaningfully included in all aspects of WITU’s programs. The officer will play a key role in promoting inclusive practices, removing participation barriers, and supporting program accessibility and equity.

How to Apply
Lead efforts to mainstream disability inclusion across all WITU programs and activities.
Identify and address barriers to participation for young women with disabilities in digital and entrepreneurial training programs.
Collaborate with trainers, mentors, and stakeholders to ensure accessible learning environments, materials, and tools.
Support recruitment and retention of program participants with disabilities.
Conduct training and sensitization sessions for staff and partners on inclusive practices and disability rights.
Establish partnerships with organizations for persons with disabilities (OPDs) and other relevant stakeholders.
Monitor and report on disability inclusion outcomes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Disability Studies, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in disability inclusion or inclusive development programming
Strong understanding of disability rights, accessibility standards, and inclusive education or training practices
Experience working with young women and marginalized groups is highly desirable
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in digital tools is an added advantage
