Job Description
Job Title: Depot Manager - Jinja
Organisation: TotalEnergies
Duty Station: Jinja, Uganda
The role holder’s main objective is to manage the white product depot with a monthly throughput of over 4,000 m3 and LPG depot with a monthly throughput of over 350 tons of LPG and annual through put of 4,200 tones
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage the integrity of all assets in the depot and ensure good care and maintenance.
Verify dips of all tanks daily against closing physical stocks, receipts, and issues in respect of depot losses or gains.
Monitor quality, safety and environment in the depot.
Coordinate with engineering on depot equipment maintenances.
Liaise with the sales department for timely execution of orders.
Monitor the condition of transit and local delivery trucks through safe to load / offload checks.
Monitor depot and clerical operations according to Depot Operations Procedures and work instructions and generating Bulk reports.
Manage the human resources in the White product depot, LPG plant and Stock Consignment customers in Eastern Uganda.
Manage the administration of PETRO – stock control system.
Ensure that all relevant stock documents filed at the depots and copies sent to Stock officer.
Ensure consignment sites have sufficient good quality stock all the time.
Monitor LPG and consumers with stock consignment operations around Jinja.
Monitor losses in all consignment sites and advise on the way to reduce them.
Coordinate the sampling of all trucks delivering product to the depot to ensure good quality product is receipted.
Coordinate the monthly testing and sampling of all the main product storage tanks in the depot.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Experience/Education required
A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering
Excellent technical skills and an experience in Depot Management
At least 5 years proven experience in a busy working experience.
Management and supervisor ability.
Inter-personal and communication skills are a pre-requisite
Good knowledge of petroleum industry operations.
Excellent computer skills (Ms. Excel, Ms Word)
