Job Description
Reporting to the Team Lead, Branch Operations, the Customer Service Manager will be responsible for managing all branch operational functions, maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing customer service standards. This role will also include supervising branch staff, authorizing transactions within set limits, managing cash operations, and ensuring prompt reconciliation and reporting of accounts. The incumbent will act as the first line of control and support for customer service operations and is expected to lead by example in delivering world-class service to clients.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement bank-wide operational policies at branch level
Conduct regular General Ledger (GL) account proofs and review aging items for resolution
Maintain strict adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements to prevent infractions and fraud
Oversee and guide branch operations staff, including performance reviews, training, and task allocation
Authorize and escalate transactions based on approval limits
Supervise account opening process ensuring compliance and proper documentation
Monitor ATM functionality and ensure timely issue resolution
Manage branch cash levels within insurance limits and ensure timely evacuations
Prepare and submit timely institutional and regulatory reports
Ensure confidentiality, security of customer information, and branch assets in line with security guidelines
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
A good first degree in any discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Banking Operations
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory policies
Familiarity with operational, credit, and compliance risks
Excellent customer service and administrative skills
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
High level of integrity and responsibility
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
