Job Description
This position ensures the delivery of high-quality internal operational services by maintaining daily production processes, including data input, reconciliations, and dispatch of instructions. The officer provides administrative support, manages queries, ensures system performance, and monitors compliance with risk and internal governance standards. The role also involves maintaining effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate streamlined operations and reporting.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage time, tasks, and outputs to meet daily work deadlines and production standards
Input data and process instructions into Hiport (cash entries, investments, settlements)
Prepare and dispatch investment and withdrawal instructions to custodians
Execute daily Unit Trust pricing
Perform daily cash and unit reconciliations (Hiport & Retail System)
Conduct monthly asset reconciliation for custodian accounts
Handle operational and administrative queries
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance regulations
Escalate risk/control breaks to management and support audits
Assist in managing budgets by avoiding resource wastage
Contribute to any other assigned activities or special projects
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Business-related degree
Background in custody services is an added advantage
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of financial services operations
Familiarity with core business systems and KYC/AML compliance
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Financial acumen and reporting capabilities
Planning, coordination, and time management
Attention to detail
Business awareness and technical knowledge
Ability to work across multiple levels of the organization
