Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Consultant – IN/VAS Planning, the Consultant will design and dimension the charging systems to support marketing products, conduct feasibility studies for new services, and produce technical documentation. The role involves interfacing with vendors, leading IN projects, capacity planning, system automation, and ensuring optimal performance of Value-Added Services (VAS). Strong scripting, networking, and telecommunications experience are essential for successful execution.

How to Apply
Design and dimension charging systems to support new marketing products
Plan network architecture for subscriber and traffic growth
Conduct feasibility studies and produce technical reports
Design and plan evolution of Value-Added Services (e.g., USSD, SMS, Mobile Data)
Produce functional and technical specifications for services
Participate in stakeholder meetings for VAS development
Interface with vendors for system design and upgrades
Develop UNIX/shell scripts for system statistics and automation
Act as technical lead for IN-related capital projects
Prepare long-term charging system evolution plans
Ensure data accuracy for capacity forecasts
Champion automation and efficiency within the department
Manage and monitor project timelines for timely product deployment

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering
Project management training (Prince II, PMBOK) is an added advantage
Experience:
Minimum 5 years total experience
At least 3 years in IN planning or operations
3 years in GSM network environments
3 years in UNIX shell scripting and database administration
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux operating systems
Experience with Oracle/MySQL databases
Programming skills and good knowledge of IP networking
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of radio propagation and telecom networks
Advanced project management and supervisory skills
Good communication and reporting skills
Drive test skills and ability to work in challenging terrain
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Exposure to charging/billing systems and core planning
Team player, self-motivated, and quick learner
