Confirmed Geologist job at TotalEnergies Uganda

TotalEnergies Uganda

Job Description

Position: Confirmed Geologist

Company: TotalEnergies Uganda

Location: Uganda
Project Overview

The Tilenga and Kingfisher (OBO) developments form the Upstream segment of the Lake Albert Project, marking Uganda’s first large-scale oil development. This Greenfield project is unmatched in scale and complexity, especially given its location in a remote and environmentally sensitive area near Lake Albert.

The Tilenga oil field will produce heavy and waxy crude from 29 drilling pads—some situated within a national park—with processing at a central facility handling 200,000 barrels of oil per day and 650,000 barrels of water treatment capacity. Reservoir pressure maintenance will involve water injection or polymer flooding, based on reservoir specifics.

The project includes an extensive pipeline network with strict temperature control requirements.

Operating in a multicultural environment, the project requires navigating Ugandan regulations, environmental and technical approvals, and international onshore plant codes. Effective coordination with government authorities, partners, and stakeholders is crucial to its success.
