About Cavendish University Uganda:
Position Summary:
CUU is seeking a dynamic and visionary Careers and Employability Manager to lead the development and implementation of innovative employability programmes. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of building impactful partnerships and enhancing graduate outcomes through robust career readiness initiatives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and industry partners to secure internships, employment pathways, and experiential learning opportunities.
Design and deliver career development programmes, workshops, and individual guidance sessions aligned with current industry needs.
Foster alumni engagement through mentoring, networking, and collaborative events.
Lead data-driven evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement of career services and outcomes.
Provide strategic leadership and effective management within the Careers and Employability Department.
Promote continuous professional development, innovation, and the integration of best practices.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Desired Competencies:
Strategic Leadership – Ability to align employability initiatives with the University’s mission and vision.
Employer & Industry Engagement – Strong networking and partnership-building skills.
Career Development Expertise – Understanding of labor market trends and career-readiness frameworks.
Data-Driven Decision Making – Strong analytical and reporting skills to guide strategic planning.
Communication & Relationship Building – Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.

Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Human Resources, Business, ICT, or a related field.
Additional professional training in career development or employability programming is an added advantage.
