To support our continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-driven professional for the role below:
Position Title: Business Process Analyst
Reporting to: Manager – Innovations & Automation
Location: Head Office, Kampala
Role Overview:
The Business Process Analyst plays a key role in the Innovations & Automation team, acting as the link between business needs and technical solutions. The position is responsible for analyzing current business processes, recommending improvements, documenting system requirements, coordinating user acceptance testing, and ensuring smooth deployment and adoption of new software systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Process Analysis & Improvement
Analyze and evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Recommend improvements that align with the Bank’s strategic goals.
Support implementation of process changes with minimal business disruption.
Monitor post-implementation performance and recommend enhancements.
2. Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Work with stakeholders to collect and document software and process requirements.
Prepare detailed specifications, including process maps, use cases, and functional requirements.
Validate requirements with relevant departments including Cybersecurity, Risk, and end-users.
3. User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Plan and coordinate UAT sessions with relevant stakeholders.
Develop test cases and acceptance criteria in collaboration with users and developers.
Document and track test results, ensuring resolution of identified issues.
4. Solution Documentation
Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, and process documentation.
Ensure all documentation is clear, up-to-date, and aligned with Bank standards.
Update content following system upgrades or changes.
5. User Training & Support
Design and deliver training for both end-users and IT administrators.
Develop support materials like FAQs and quick-reference guides to aid user adoption.
Provide ongoing user support as needed.
6. Other Duties
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing or process improvement role within a commercial environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with service management and social media engagement.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of customer service frameworks, complaint management, and account handling.
