Job Description
The company is recruiting Uganda Nationals in the stated positions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Equipment Maintenance & Operations
- Perform daily maintenance, inspection and basic repairs of well control emergency equipment under supervision.
- Conduct routine function tests and lubrication of fire pumps, cutting equipment and other emergency devices.
- Maintain accurate equipment service logs and report abnormalities immediately.
2. Emergency Equipment Operation
- Demonstrate working knowledge of fire pumps and hydraulic cutting tools.
- Operate designated well control emergency equipment as directed by team leader.
- Assist in equipment setup and breakdown during drills and actual emergencies.
3. Technical Support Functions
- Read and interpret basic equipment schematics and assembly drawings.
- Perform equipment disassembly/assembly under technical guidance.
- Assist technicians in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues.
4. Emergency Response
- Recognize signs of equipment malfunction and report promptly.
- Execute assigned tasks during blowout emergencies per established protocols.
- Maintain emergency gear in ready-to-deploy condition at all times.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Follow all safety procedures during equipment handling.
- Participate in monthly safety training sessions.
- Maintain work area cleanliness and organization.
6. Additional Duties
- Complete equipment inventory checks as scheduled.
- Assist in workshop maintenance tasks.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisor.
