Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting set targets on deposit mobilization, risk assets, and profitability. This involves marketing financial products, negotiating with clients, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient handling of transactions. The role also includes analyzing market trends, appraising loan requests, managing loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and contributing to the development of strategic business plans.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Achieve deposit, risk asset, and profit targets
Develop and implement annual sales plans
Market financial products and negotiate deals
Deepen relationships with existing and prospective customers
Maintain records of transactions and ensure prompt service delivery
Appraise and package loan requests in line with bank procedures
Manage loan portfolios and monitor monthly repayments
Recover delinquent loans and handle rollovers
Generate periodic performance reports
Ensure AML/CFT compliance
Contribute to strategic planning and market analysis

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum of a first degree (Postgraduate qualification is an advantage)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial institution
Strong understanding of banking products and financial services
Knowledge of market segmentation, money markets, macro/microeconomics
Familiarity with the banking and mortgage industries
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills
Ability to analyze financial markets and customer needs
