Bank of India Uganda Limited was registered in Uganda in 2011 and the license was granted to by Bank of Uganda on 13.03.2012 under Financial Institution Act, 2004. Bank of India (Uganda) Limited officially started operations on 18th -June-2012 by opening its first branch in Kampala-Uganda. We have bouquet of personal and corporate banking, Instant Fund Transfers and lucrative Foreign Exchange products which can be further be customized to satisfy customer requirements.
Our bank is wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of India, one of the largest public sector banks in India, established in 1906 and having banking expertise and tradition of over 100 years. Job Description
Job Opportunity: Banking Assistant

Job Summary
The Banking Assistant will provide front-line banking support to customers, including processing deposits, transfers, and payments, while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to internal policies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist customers with deposits, transfers, and payment processing.
Support bank operations and administrative functions as needed.
Ensure timely account opening and proper documentation.
Prepare cheque book requests and scan signature cards.
Process India remittances, inward/outward TTs, RTGS transfers, and maintain related registers and statements.
Handle customer balance inquiries.
Participate in the clearing process at the entry level.
Balance key accounts such as INR, SUNCR, and SUNDEP.
Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to clients.
Address customer queries and direct them to appropriate departments.
Maintain and manage bank records in an orderly and secure manner.
Foster customer loyalty through professional and efficient service.
Ensure compliance with KYC/AML guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a Teller when needed in the absence of other tellers.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized institution.
Strong computer skills are mandatory.
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Operations Department of a bank or financial institution.
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

Additional Information
Physical demand: The role involves extended periods of sitting.
Preferred age: Below 40 years. However, management may consider candidates outside this range based on qualifications and experience.
The candidate must be willing to work at any branch of Bank of India (U) Ltd.
