Job Description
The Banking Applications Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, support, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications, particularly the Temenos T24 core banking system. The role serves as a bridge between business users and IT, ensuring that systems align with organizational needs and enhance operational efficiency.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support for the Temenos T24 core banking system
- Responsible for the day-to-day support of T24 core banking application, run the daily close of business, generate all departmental reports
- Responsible for T24 Local Development & Customization (write routines), designs T24 Versions and Enquiry, design reports and requested by the users
- Responsible for MySQL DB administration, backup and restoration T24 Data Migration
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues within agreed SLAs
- Provide T24 support to operators to resolve any COB problem (using Temenos approved models), escalate critical errors
- Configure and maintain T24 parameters, products, and modules
- Support setup of accounts, loans, deposits, and customer data structures
- Ensure system updates, patches, and upgrades are properly implemented
- Maintain system documentation and configuration records
- Manage user creation, modification, and deactivation in T24
- Enforce role-based access controls and segregation of dut
