Job Title: Assistant Manager – Brand & Marketing

Purpose of the Role
The Assistant Manager – Brand & Marketing will support the development and execution of CIC’s brand and marketing strategy to position the company as a leading insurance provider. The role involves driving brand visibility, enhancing customer engagement, managing communication initiatives, and ensuring consistency across all marketing and branding touchpoints.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Brand Management
Maintain brand consistency across internal and external communication platforms.
Conduct regular brand audits across CIC offices and social media platforms, and recommend improvements.
Support the development and implementation of brand guidelines.
Drive initiatives that enhance brand equity and improve public perception.
2. Strategic Planning & Implementation
Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Collaborate with regional and branch teams to implement marketing strategies effectively.
Maintain and manage a calendar of marketing events, ensuring CIC brand visibility across all platforms and engagements.
3. Brand Communication & Public Relations
Manage press releases, media interviews, and PR opportunities to increase brand visibility.
Respond to brand-related queries and stakeholder concerns across all digital and social media platforms.
Build and sustain relationships with key media partners.
4. Marketing & Sponsorship Support
Evaluate sponsorship proposals and recommend opportunities that align with CIC’s marketing objectives.
Develop business cases for marketing partnerships, institutional forums, and sponsorships.
Oversee branding, booth setups, and promotional materials at partner events.
5. Event Management & Promotions
Plan and execute corporate events, exhibitions, sponsorships, and activations.
Coordinate logistics, branding, and promotional activities to ensure strong brand presence at events.
Track and report key event performance metrics such as ROI, partner engagement, and lead generation.
6. Internal Collaboration
Act as the key point of contact for internal and external clients on social media channels.
Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Service teams to align brand messaging with business goals.
Ensure cross-functional teams are kept informed of ongoing brand campaigns.
7. Budgeting & Financial Oversight
Develop and manage marketing and advertising budgets.
Monitor campaign expenditures to ensure financial accountability and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate with media vendors to secure the best rates and maximize value for marketing spend.
8. Market Research & Strategic Insights
Conduct audience research and analyze consumer behavior, media trends, and competitor strategies.
Maintain strong relationships with media houses, print vendors, and event organizers.
Work with the digital marketing team to develop engaging content aligned with brand strategy.
9. Reporting & Compliance
Generate reports on marketing activities, brand performance, customer satisfaction, and market trends.
Provide insights and recommendations based on marketing outcomes.
Ensure all branding and marketing engagements comply with internal policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Requirement | Details |
Education | Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field |
Professional Certification | Certified Digital Marketing Professional, Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) certification |
Experience | Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or related fields |
Desirable | Master’s degree in PR, Marketing, or related field (an added advantage) |
Key Competencies
Strong brand management and strategic thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Knowledge of digital marketing and media planning
Proven experience in event planning and sponsorship management
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
