Job Description
The Program Manager will support the implementation and coordination of YCON’s programs related to civic engagement, human rights monitoring, peacebuilding, and youth empowerment. Working under the strategic supervision of the Secretary General and the operational coordination of the Assistant Secretary General, the Program Manager will ensure that program activities are implemented effectively, monitored properly, and aligned with YCON’s strategic priorities and annual workplan. The Program Manager will collaborate with YCON leadership, network members inside and outside Sudan, and partner organizations to support program delivery, strengthen youth-led initiatives, and contribute to the impact and visibility of YCON’s work.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Program Planning and Coordination
- Support the implementation of YCON programs and activities in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan and annual workplan approved by the leadership.
- Coordinate program workplans, timelines, and activity schedules in consultation with the Assistant Secretary General.
- Ensure effective communication between YCON’s internal teams, field networks, and program stakeholders.
- Assist in organizing trainings, workshops, community engagements, and other program activities.
- Support youth-led initiatives that promote civic monitoring, democratic participation, and community resilience.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Implement program-level monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in line with YCON’s organizational framework.
- Collect, verify, and analyze program data from field networks and activities.
- Prepare periodic narrative reports, activity updates, and documentation for review by the Office of the Secretary General.
- Support the documentation of program impact, lessons learned, and best practices.
Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with civil society organizations, youth networks, and relevant institutions. Coordinate communication with partners and stakeholders regarding program implementation.
- Represent YCON in meetings, workshops, and consultations when delegated by the office of the Secretary General.
- Provide program-related insights and information to support YCON’s advocacy initiatives.
Administrative and Financial Coordination
- Work closely with the finance and administration team to support effective budget implementation for program activities.
- Track program expenditures and assist in ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for workshops, trainings, meetings, and field activities.
- Support procurement and administrative processes related to program implementation.
Communications and Knowledge Management
- Contribute to the preparation of program reports, publications, and
- communication materials.
- Support the documentation of program activities, success stories, and field experiences.
- Coordinate with the communications team to highlight YCON’s program achievements and impact.
- Any other related tasks
