Job Description
Vacancy title: Agronomists
No of posts : Two (02)
Reporting to : EMU – R&D Manager
Location : Kalangala
The Agronomists will support research and development activities aimed at improving plantation productivity, crop management practices, and sustainable agricultural operations across the oil palm estates.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct field research and monitor crop performance.
- Provide technical guidance on agronomic practices and plantation management.
- Support soil fertility management and crop nutrition programs.
- Collect and analyze agricultural data for reporting and decision-making.
- Assist in implementing pest and disease control measures.
- Train field staff on best agronomic practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for management.
