Job Description
The Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling the resort's operational costs to ensure efficient use of resources and profitability. The position involves managing inventory, tracking expenditures, conducting cost analyses, preparing financial reports, and supporting management in budget planning and decision-making.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and control food, beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and operational costs.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Analyze purchasing patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, and supplier deliveries against approved budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and consumption.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports for management review.
- Investigate cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, kitchen, stores, and finance departments to improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor wastage levels and implement controls to reduce losses.
- Participate in internal and external audits when required.
