Accountant – Microfinance Institution Job at Supreme Executives

Job Description
We are hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join a newly established microfinance institution in Uganda.
This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role as part of a team, in setting up accounting and finance operations, with a clear path to grow into a Finance Manager position as the organization scales.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journals, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial reports and support budgeting processes
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan financial regulations and reporting standards
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and support financial controls implementation
- Support audits and maintain proper financial documentation
- Work closely with leadership to build and improve finance processes from the ground up
