Overview
Pride Bank Uganda is seeking to recruit five (5) dynamic and results-driven individuals to fill the role of Branch Credit Administrator. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this role is responsible for reviewing credit proposals, loan appraisal and disbursement, and ensuring high-quality loan portfolio management in line with the bank’s credit policies and procedures.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct field visits to verify loan applicants and support improved branch portfolio quality.
Lead and coordinate branch credit committee meetings for effective credit operations.
Monitor and implement portfolio quality control measures and submit regular compliance reports.
Manage client relationships to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and portfolio growth.
Ensure secure handling and storage of loan files and securities in accordance with bank policy.
Review, appraise, and disburse loans based on credit and risk management policies.
Evaluate the performance of various loan products and recommend improvements.
Verify authenticity and completeness of loan documentation within authorization limits.
Identify and mitigate credit risks through implementation of strong control systems.
Collaborate with the debt recovery team to support recovery efforts and maintain portfolio health.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
At least 2 principal passes at A’ Level
Credit or pass in English and Mathematics at O’ Level
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking operations, particularly in microfinance or individual loan products
Desired Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
High level of integrity and professionalism
Customer-centric mindset and strong relationship management
Ability to represent the bank positively in all interactions
Must be under 40 years of age
