Position: Commission-Based Field Collections Agents – Market Vendors (3)
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Pay Structure: Performance-Based Commission
Job purpose:
As Commission-Based Field Collections Agent, you will be responsible for contacting clients, following up on outstanding payments, and ensuring timely collections for the credit portfolio in line with Numida’s policies. You will work closely with the Credit Operations team, ensuring
client accounts are effectively managed, and contributing to the overall success of the collections effort.
Reporting Line: This role reports to the Credit Team Leader – Market Vendors Lending.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Client Follow-up: Regularly contact clients to recover overdue amounts, follow up on promises to pay, and maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM.
Field Collections: Visit clients in the field to recover payments when necessary, while maintaining professionalism and compliance with the organization’s standards.
Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates to the Team Leaders and Credit Operations Manager on recovery progress and challenges faced in the field.
Client Relations: Establish positive relationships with clients to encourage timely payments and resolve any issues leading to delayed collections.
Compliance: Ensure all interactions and recovery methods are in line with Numida’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant regulatory requirements.
Target Achievement: Meet or exceed the set collection targets, maximizing recovery efforts across the assigned client base.
Collaboration: Work closely with team leaders, supervisors, and other stakeholders to align recovery strategies with company goals.
Problem Solving: Quickly identify client issues and develop strategies to rehabilitate and retain clients to avoid further loan defaults.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Job Requirements:
Your profile:
2+ years of experience working as a Collections Officer
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Prior experience in collections, sales, or a customer-facing role
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Good negotiation skills and problem-solving capabilities
Strong time management and organizational skills
Willingness to travel and work in the field
Proficient in computer and mobile technology – you are experienced with Android apps and desktop productivity software like Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs etc.
Verbal and written fluency in both English and Local Languages. Fluency in other Ugandan languages is an asset.
