Supervises: None
Job Purpose:
To ensure the security and integrity of the Bank’s network infrastructure by implementing and managing network security measures. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining firewall systems and other security devices to protect the Bank’s network from threats and vulnerabilities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewall systems to ensure network security and compliance.
Continuously monitor network traffic to detect and respond to potential threats.
Participate in incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, and remediation of network security incidents.
Implement and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations and changes.
Ensure network security operations comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective support and maintenance of network security devices.
Participate in network security training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Participate in the evaluation of IT-related procurements ensuring technical requirements are met.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader Network Infrastructure from time to time.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
A First or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or Engineering.
Professional certifications in network management such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate.
Work Experience:
At least five years of relevant experience in network administration.
Age:
Between 30 and 38 years at the close of the advert.

Extensive and demonstrable knowledge in network infrastructure administration.
Proven experience in networking, routing, and switching.
Proficiency in firewall configuration and management.
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Experience in monitoring and analyzing network traffic and security events.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
