The Receptionist job at UNHCR Uganda is an ideal entry-level opportunity for individuals seeking no experience UN jobs. As a receptionist, you will be responsible for the front desk, ensuring visitors and persons of concern are assisted professionally and respectfully.

Duties and Responsibilities
In this no experience UN job, your responsibilities will include:
Greeting and assisting visitors, directing them appropriately.
Answering and transferring calls while maintaining confidentiality.
Handling incoming/outgoing mail and document circulation.
Maintaining visitor logs and reception records.
Operating office equipment including phones and computers.
Prioritizing vulnerable individuals as per UNHCR standards.
Delivering messages and supporting internal communication.
Performing basic clerical and administrative duties.
Supporting risk identification and internal reporting.
To qualify for this Receptionist job at UNHCR, candidates should meet the following:
A High School Diploma with at least 1 year of experienceOR
A Bachelor’s degree (preferred – great for recent graduates)
Proficiency in English (required)
Local languages or another UN language is an added advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to manage confidential information
Multitasking and organizational skills
Familiarity with proGres (UNHCR refugee registration system)
