RIP! Makindye School Pupils Die in Tragic Study Trip Accident

Mityana, Uganda – A tragic road accident on Sunday morning has claimed the lives of at least two pupils from Star Junior School in Makindye. The incident occurred along Mityana Road near Zigoti Town Council when the school bus they were travelling in overturned.
According to eyewitness accounts, the bus belonging to HMK and bearing registration number UAP 829U was returning from a school excursion when it veered off the road under unclear circumstances and rolled several times.
The force of the crash left several children injured, with survivors rushed to Mityana General Hospital for emergency treatment. Police say the exact number of casualties remains uncertain as investigations and rescue efforts continue.
Authorities and first responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to aid the injured and recover the bodies of the deceased. By press time, police had cordoned off the area as they worked to piece together the events that led to the fatal accident.
The tragedy has left the Star Junior School community in deep mourning, with parents and relatives rushing to hospitals and the crash site for information on their children.
