The Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026 at Busitema University is now open for applications! The Office of the Academic Registrar at Busitema University, in partnership with Stanbic Bank Uganda, invites eligible Ugandans to apply for the Stanbic Bank Skills-Based Practical Short Course Certificate Programmes for the 2025/2026 intake.


This life-changing Busitema University Scholarship aims to empower young Ugandans with hands-on skills that can transform their careers and communities.

Stanbic Bank Scholarship

The Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026 focuses on skills-based short courses designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and job-ready skills in a short period of 6 months. Through this scholarship program, Stanbic Bank Uganda will fully cover the university fees for 100 successful applicants, excluding accommodation costs.


This Busitema University Skills-Based Scholarship is part of Stanbic Bank’s continuous commitment to youth empowerment, skills development, and economic growth in Uganda.

Courses Offered Under the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to pursue any of the following Busitema University short courses under the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026:

  • Welding and Metal Part Fabrication (CWM)

  • Post-Harvest Handling & Processing Technologies (CPP)

  • Irrigation Technologies & Innovations (CIT)

  • Automotive Repair, Operation & Maintenance (CAM)

  • Brick Laying and Concrete Practice (CBC)


These short courses are designed to provide practical, hands-on training to enable graduates to gain employment or start their own businesses.



Eligibility Criteria for the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026

To apply for the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026 at Busitema University, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a resident of one of these districts: Busia, Pallisa, Tororo, Soroti, Mbale, Butebo, or Kamuli.

  • Must have completed Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

  • UCE qualification (O-Level) is an added advantage.

  • Must be a Ugandan citizen aged not more than 35 years.

  • Must not hold any other scholarship.

  • The application form must be endorsed by the LCV Chairperson of the applicant’s district before submission.


Note: Females and persons living with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply for the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026.

How to Apply for the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026

All interested candidates for the Busitema University Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026 must follow the online application process carefully:

  1. Visit the Busitema University online admission portal: http://apply.busitema.ac.ug

  2. Download the recommendation form from the official website: www.busitema.ac.ug

  3. Get the recommendation form signed by the LCV District Chairperson.

  4. Attach the following documents:

  5. PLE Result Slip

  6. O-Level Result Slip (if available)

  7. Birth Certificate

  8. Recent Passport Size Photo

  9. Submit the completed recommendation form to Busitema University Main Campus (Busia) after completing the online process.


Application Deadline for the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026

The deadline for the Stanbic Bank Scholarship 2025/2026 applications is:

Friday, 10th October 2025 at 5:00 PM

Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of UGX 50,000.
