Tender Description:
This tender seeks qualified contractors to undertake comprehensive civil works, including road infrastructure development and construction of essential operational buildings and sanitation facilities to support the Kabuyanda Irrigation Scheme. The project aims to improve access, operational efficiency, storage capacity, and sanitation infrastructure within the scheme area, thereby strengthening irrigation services and supporting agricultural development in the region. The works are part of a broader government initiative implemented with international financing to enhance climate-resilient irrigation infrastructure.
Scope of Work:
The scope of work under this tender involves the construction of scheme roads and scheme buildings for the Kabuyanda Irrigation Scheme in Isingiro District. This includes rehabilitation and construction of district, sub-county, and proposed scheme roads, comprising clearing and grading of road reserves, topsoil stripping, roadbed preparation, swamp treatment through removal and replacement of unsuitable materials, pavement construction, and embankment formation with approved compacted gravel materials. The works also cover the construction of key scheme infrastructure, including an office block, conference hall, cold storage facilities, dry storage facilities, a two-bedroom residential house, a gate house, and the installation of lined ventilated improved pit latrines at designated locations, all in accordance with the technical specifications provided in the bidding documents.
