Job Overview
The Warranty Engineer serves as the “quality expert” and the “voice of the customer,” overseeing the administration and analysis of customer warranty returns. This role champions continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and collaborates closely with manufacturing partners to enhance design, production, and assembly processes.
As a key liaison, the Warranty Engineer reviews warranty claims to determine failure modes and accountability, communicates warranty trends with manufacturers to improve product quality, processes claims for payment, and ensures local implementation of manufacturing company policies.
Additionally, the Technical Trainer role within this position involves designing and delivering technical training programs to enhance product knowledge and ensure repair quality in line with manufacturer and MAG Group standards.

Serve as a technical authority and escalation point, resolving complex issues and providing guidance on processes and procedures.
Develop a strong understanding of organizational policies, regulatory codes, and conduct codes relevant to the role, ensuring compliance.
Extract, combine, and analyze data to generate standard and analytical reports.
Manage workload efficiently to meet standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness, using performance management tools to optimize results.
Monitor financial data and warranty claims using established systems and protocols.
Provide advanced product and service information to internal teams and customers.
Record and coordinate custom/special orders requiring additional resources, working closely with relevant teams.
Identify and address gaps in training by developing and conducting technical training sessions using prepared materials.
Offer fault isolation and resolution support to promptly address complex technical challenges.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience working in a car dealership or automotive service environment for a reasonable duration.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
