Job Description
The site technician is responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of the Digital Terestrial Transmission (DTT) site for Kasese Uganda. The role involves ensuring continuous operation of the site, adherence to health and safety standards, and timely reporting of site activities. The Firstline Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the quality of service delivery and responsiveness to network issues.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the DTT transmission site.
- Monitor and ensure continuous functionality of all site equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical systems, air conditioning systems, and generators.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and equipment faults efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of site activities, maintenance work, and incidents.
- Coordinate with technical teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
