Procurement

• Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
• Warehouse Operations Management.
• Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and issuing of materials.
• Ensure materials are stored in appropriate locations according to warehouse layout and storage procedures.
• Coordinate material movement to ensure timely availability for production or operational use.
• Monitor workflow and allocate tasks to warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.

Inventory Control and Accuracy

• Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic stock audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation of all material transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, returns).

Materials Receiving and Dispatch

• Oversee receiving of materials and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure proper inspection, documentation, and system entry for received goods.
• Coordinate timely dispatch of materials to internal departments.
• Ensure correct labelling, packaging, and documentation of materials.

Team Leadership and Supervision

• Supervise and guide warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to procedures.
• Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and effective communication within the team.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Promote safe handling, storage, and movement of materials.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report and address safety hazards, incidents, or near misses.

Warehouse Organization and Housekeeping

• Maintain proper warehouse layout and storage systems for efficient space utilization.
• Ensure materials are properly labelled and organized.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable.

Financial Management

Risk Management

• Identify the department’s risks, their various mitigations and keep track of them. Compliance
• Ensure regulatory compliance in execution of activities within Uganda
• Adherence to all Movit Group and In Country Policies and Procedures.
• Prepare and submit location daily report.
