Warehouse Loaders job at African Initiatives For Relief & Development

African Initiatives For Relief & Development

The loader will often work in the logistics or transportation sector, typically handling tasks related to the loading and unloading of goods in relation to warehouses, trucks, buses etc.

  • Ensure that goods/ PWSs are loaded and unloaded in a timely and organized manner, minimizing delays and maximizing throughput.

  • Handle all persons and items with care to prevent damage, especially fragile or hazardous materials, adhering to safety guidelines.

  • Assist in keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly documented.

  • Keep the loading and unloading area clean and free from obstructions, following workplace safety protocols.

  • Maintain clear communication with PWSs, supervisors, drivers, and other team members to coordinate activities and address any issues that arise.

  • Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to lifting techniques to avoid injuries.

  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations, assisting others as needed and contributing to a positive work environment.

  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure that loading/unloading operations stay on schedule.

  • Maintain the physical stamina necessary to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods, ensuring consistent productivity throughout the workday.
