Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our media production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the company’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting across multiple platforms. The video editor will ensure logical sequencing, smooth transitions, and enhanced visuals through effective editing techniques.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Edit raw video footage into high-quality, polished videos suitable for various platforms (e.g., social media, websites, TV).
Collaborate with creative teams, producers, and directors to understand video requirements and objectives.
Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects into videos.
Colour correct and grade video footage for visual consistency.
Create rough and final cuts, revising as necessary based on feedback from stakeholders.
Manage video editing projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met.
Maintain organized project files and archives.
Stay updated with the latest video editing software, techniques, and industry trends.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Proven work experience as a Video Editor.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation is a plus (e.g., After Effects).
Strong understanding of post-production workflow, video formats, and file conversions.
Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
A portfolio of past video editing work is required for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Multimedia, or related field.
Experience in cinematography or directing is a plus.
Knowledge of video compression techniques and web video formats.
