On behalf of our client JC International, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Technical Training Instructor to work in Kampala.

  • Curriculum Development: Designing or contributing to the development of training curricula, including course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional materials, tailored to meet the needs of the target audience and industry standards.

  • Instructional Delivery: Delivering training sessions using a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, simulations, and multimedia presentations, to effectively convey technical concepts and skills.

  • Skill Assessment: Assessing trainees' knowledge and skills through various evaluation methods, including quizzes, practical exercises, projects, and performance evaluations, to measure learning outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrating proficiency and expertise in the subject matter being taught, staying updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and sharing this knowledge with trainees.

  • Lab Management: Overseeing training laboratories or workshops, ensuring they are properly equipped, maintained, and safe for trainees to use, and providing guidance on the use of tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Individualized Support: Providing individualized support and guidance to trainees who require extra assistance or have specific learning needs, adapting teaching methods and materials as necessary to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of training activities, attendance, assessments, and trainee progress, as well as preparing reports and evaluations to track the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.


  • Professional Development: Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance your own technical skills, instructional techniques, and knowledge of relevant tools and technologies, staying abreast of industry advancements and certifications.

  • Client Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, employers, or training sponsors, addressing their needs and concerns, and ensuring that training programs align with their objectives and expectations.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other instructors, subject matter experts, instructional designers, and support staff to develop comprehensive training solutions, share resources and expertise, and contribute to the overall success of the training department or organization.

  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in delivering lifting operations courses or HSE programs

  • MUST hold any or more of this industry recognized qualification (NPORS, NEBOSH, OPITO, IOSH). You will be required to deliver the company’s accredited courses as per the accreditation program’s guidelines and standard in Uganda and across East Africa

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite use is compulsory.

  • Being in possession of B.Ed. qualification
